i have a Rear beam for a mk5 6n2. it come off a diesil or a 16v(GTI) i think it was the diesl,

anyway the engine in the car isnt important.

the question is,

is it to wide to fit under a Golf mk3,

as a friend of mine is mid way doing up theres and are having issues with wheel barings and other annoing niggles and are contemplating useing the spair beam i have.

i wouldnt think it would be too large.....prob roughly the same to be honest

i know if you park the cars back to back bumper to bumper there the same width.

i wasnt sure about the mountings and if the wheels will sit to far back and catch on the arches, cos i dont know if the arms on the new beam is longer than on the old.


i suppose we could always give it a try and see what happenes.

yeh think it'll just be a case of trial and error mate
