Top "lacquer" layer of paint peeling off

Hi all
I dont know if there's anything I can do 'bout this - apart from a re-spray, but the "top" lacquer layer of paint is peeling off my car - it kinda looks sunburnt, so the bits that don't have the lacquer are "dull".

I CANNOT afford to go for a full re-spray option, is there anything i can do to protect what is left (right now it is patchy) and restore the lustre of the paint.

Please help, poor little polo is embarassed.

cheers

Sally

My "spots" also came after a Karcher episode - and I was standing about 2metres away and just giving it a quick rinse!!!!

Unfortunately - a single panel respray is not an option as every "panel" has a spot appearing. I just want to know really if now that the lacquer is dissapearing - if the underlying paintwork is now at risk of rust - and if there is anything I can do to protect it.

My little car is Canyon Red...and is now looking a little "pink" in places - which is seriously not good for street cred....

heelp!

i don't know you could maybe buy a tin of laqur (spelling LOL)

just spray the areas, i'm no expert.

mines grey so doesn't look to bad :)

i took a load of laqour off my car when i de bumper stripped it and being black it looks quite bad. i tried respraying on some clear laqour but all it did was make the patches i sprayed rough, and still dull! i don't think a lack of laqour (woah) will cause rust but you probably will have to get the panel resprayed.
