Its a bit of a random or silly post i know.

But why is it the traffic cops up my way (Aberdeen) drive nowt but jag and volvo estates Fancy Range Rovers and omegas ?

Have always wandered

And how different are they to a standard T5 Estate etc etc ?

Or are they the same as the road car ?

I believe that although the Range Rovers may look pretty stock, they are quite possibly sent to Overfinch before being put into service by the Police

on the subject of new police cars, i'm sure i saw a new Focus ST dressed up in police colours the other day!

is it me or are they really crap drivers? The maount of time pigs pull ruight out in front of me, and ive never seen them use their indicators.

i am good mates with a police driver who has done all the courses u can think of and he is a brilliant driver!
the ones round my way are generally good road users.

The traffic guys as well as the armed ones do a different driving course to the normal panda drivers.

yeh ive no doubt their really capable drivers they just pull out and don't indicate because they can get away with it. and it usually is the panda drivers that do it yeh

southend have a lotus elise in police colours

there are a few scoobies and an evo 9 i have seen on the A127 from romford to southend.

Main cars round here see to be beemer estates.
Ive seen mroe cars but memory is cloudy, just got in from work. need sleep lol.

seriously? i heard rumours the filth had a few elise's but didnt know they actually did lol. i reckon some traffic cars look really smart

There are a few black Bmw x5 police 4x4 down here which look pretty smart as far as police cars go.
Same colour decals just black body instead of white and blacked out windows.

main cars round this way are the Skoda Octavia VRS! sports seat and the lot! remapped aswell! go like stink!

we have subaru imprezas with a m5, they just follow each other round and then chase people.

my dad has the volvo v70 D5, the diesel version of the T5 the police use and its faster than any car i've been in, it goes to 120 in 3rd no problems

my uncle just bought an ex pig vauxhall astra for 800 squid.
it pretty much beats evrything (apart from vw,s) tbh. its remapped and has sports brakes, suspension and short ratio gearbox.
i want!!!..........even though its a vauxhall.
round my area (newcastle) the cops just drive astra diseasels and thats about it except when the high speed stuff comes out. then its all old m5 v8's and scoobies. thats more like it!

round East London I once saw an undercover Golf R32 and a tiny Bedford van...lol

Usually its the BMWs n astras but that van made me laugh

Round by me theres nothing good. Usual lot are focus's and astra's. Undercover vehicles they use are usually Mondeos or vectras. Once I saw a beamer of some sort going the opposite side of a dual carridgeway and that thing was shifting, dont know what model it was though.
