polo + vr6 ?

Hey all,
This is a fairly speculative thread, i was wondering how you would go about shoehorning a vr6 (pref a 24v) into a 6n engine bay, what you would need fabricating and what you could just swap around etc.
I know venom have done it and a few german examples are knocking about but i cant find any really good information on how its been done or any kind of documented progress.
I'm just about to start fixing the niggles on my R reg 1.6 8v and im thinking about buying things slowly to tart it up and then as it comes to the end of its very reliable and user friendly daily driver life.. turning it into a serious project.
