Hi all,

Its that time of year again and im stuck!

With the car about to have alloys and suspension fitted, i now face the difficulty of being nearly 18 with a modified car.

Ive called a load of insurers today and they wont touch me.

Who can I call

All help appreciated :D

They wont touch me - you have to be 19 to be anywhere close to getting insured :(

try ecar insurance, it came out £400 cheaper than quinn-direct, which was the cheapest on confused.com, although I havent declared my mod's yet...and i'm a bit worried about doing so to be honest!

You'll be even more worried if (touch wood your dont) have an accident and realise your insurance is invalid.

The most I paid on the GTi has been £1700, that was 19 with 0ncb and I'd only been driving for 1 year.

The joys of being an old fart, at least insurance is reasonable !

Good luck getting it sorted Alex, hopefully they won't remove an arm and a leg for the privilege !
