help guys, i think im gonna cry, i jus got my polo and i was testing it so i took it to my dads and he tested it and it was working beautifully, so then i was ready to leave his place.

i turned the ignition and uhoh, chug chug chug, loss of power when pressed the accelerator, then when im accelerating it was giving power, then losing power like somethings not flowing correctly.

i bought one of those vag com cables off ebay and nstalled a trial version off the software. so stuck it in when i got home and heres what came out. i think im gonna blow arrrgggghhhh lol

When me and alexperkins cleaned the throttle body on my car the car started to clug really badly at low revs and stall. that was while we where cleaning it. then the idling started to play up.

Not sure if this will work but try it. Take the negative wite on the battery off and leave it for an hour then re-connect. see if it still does it.

but if its missfiring then maybe check your spark plugs/ignition leads and possibly timing?

according to the deal its got new sparks, leads and a new timing belt. so im very worried.

is the throttle body thing easy to do? if so how?

well personally i wouldnt worry about it to much.
because as you havent touched the throttle body then its not going to matter.
just try disconecting the battery like i said. which should hopfully reset the ECU. give it a go now! lol
might aswell until some one else suggests something.

cars gonna f=drive me nutty i swear lol, k i turned it on and it ticked over like a beauty, and drove it round the block and she was sweet, did her a quick 0-60 in her 11 secs or whatever it is, and im loving her.

took off the negative terminal and left it now. whats jus got my goat is those codes i got back. i dont like things with the words engine in it.

i got this polo as a replacement for my rover which was passed on to me, and the head gasket on tht prick blew and left me high and dry trying to get back home, oil in my coolign ssytem, the raadiators was well messy, i flushed it and it took hourssss, but it was terminal, got quoted 1k to fix, noooo thanks lol.

i jus dnt need an engine going on a polo, shes so stable when i drive her and shes really firm. im gonna kit her out but wanna make sure shes perfect before i start spending money.

You might need a new coilpack and HTC leads.

k ive now concluded my problem may be electric or th e throttle body, today i went out havin returned from lake side,

turned over and had an erratic idle liek a b***h, then having floored it for abit then heard it gimmie petrol then none at all then some more then none at all, it settled. its liek somethign wasnt opening fully and letthing things flow thru, like it was closed or something. im gonna go to work now and ill see what happens at 2 am if somethigns stuck, itll stick at 2am lol when i need to get home. knowin my kind of luck.

is the TB clean easy, i bought some carburetor spray cleaner but reluctant to touch anything under a bonnet without some guidance. as i may mess it up. then i have a car thts not driveable.

in the post is my gti grill and bee-sting arial also got my remote starter which ill need to fit alond with remote central locking.
