got my silicon hoses through the post this morning and have now fitted my BMC CDA

love the sound so much better than the k&n and alot quieter!

what do you think??

Cool, looks like a good job where does the cold air feed lead to though, does it go into the foglight grill?

why and what do you mean by problems?

well, eventually mine started breathing really heavy, chucking out small amounts of oil out of that breather, it eventualy contaminate my expansion tank with oil!, and one day was coming home from skegvegas, oil pressure buzzer came on! ran out to the car, it was ticking like a bomb about to explode! checked the dipstick, 'no oil' i was like f**k! the breather had chucked all of the oil out of it all over the engine bay!, so i did some research, apparently the standard breather only allows air in but nothing out, as it is like a diagprham were as these after market breathers allow air in and air/oil out! so i cut my old standard breather out and attacthed it to the car and walla! i have had no problems, no oil loss for months now!

is that easy to do?? have you got any photos?

thats the reason i replaced my k&n becasue it was full of oil!

I couldn't find that as a separate part on ETKA. I'll be reluctant to butcher my airbox if I do get round to getting a BMC. Might shelve that plan for the moment. I've seen some people with a open breather connection on their elbow, next to the TB, won't do that anyway...

that's interesting actually, is there any danger in connecting the breather hose directly to the elbow? the reason i ask is because that's what BMC has exactly done on their website...

Oh it must be OK then, perhaps the air pressure in that elbow takes care of the problem. Someone will know if this OK, I don't know much about this area tbh
