Hi guys,

My girlfriend has just ordered a new polo gti 1.8t from our local dealer in Sheffield.

Additional options she's picked include:

Full Leather Trim (including heated front seats)
Electric Climate Control
Parking Sensors
Black Metalic Paint

Opinions on the spec ?!!? I tried to get her to have a sunroof too but she wasn't up for it.

We've only seen 2 other polo gti's in Sheffield - will make it quite an exclusive car up here.

Also, does anyone have any images or the black leather interior in a gti?

nice spec there mate, don't really need a sunroof when u got climatic air con! looking forward to seeing pics when it arrives, bet u can't wait!

Im in Sheffield mate. I take it you got the car from gilders? How did you find the service?
I had a bad experience with the service from them at hillsboro when i had some problems with my lupo, hence i wouldnt use them again. I got my GTI from hayseldens at barnsley, spot on.

I live up near Stocksbridge, mine is red always spotless and running german plates.

I`ve only seen 2 more GTIs on the road, one in bristol and one at meadowhall.

Does anyone know how many GTIs have been sold because they seem pretty rare.

the spec sounds good mate, mine has a sunroof but not park sensors, i also have the i pod kit installed, but apart from that, very similar specs, im sure she will love it

as for how many there are, i could not say, only just that they never sold as well as vw wanted themto due to the high prices they cost, which is a real benifit to the peole who do own them, as it keeps demand and resale value high

I've only seen two Polo GTIs since I bought mine in Jan. One near Marlborough and another in Swindon, but since it was about 50yds from the VW Dealer, I don't think that counts as a proper sighting.

Before I bought, I saw one (Black) in Bristol heading out as I drove to work and I saw a shadow Blue one driving into Bristol. Other than that not seen any on the road.

It definitely more fun to have something that is so rare.

I've only seen two in sheffield one black - which i have seen 3 times now and a red one that i saw only once.

She's ordered it from Gilders at Banner Cross in Sheffield - She had loadsa probs with her last polo (6n2 Polo Match 1.4) Customer Care as always been hit and miss, but we always got what we wanted in the end. For example her current polo just had its pedal box replaced free of charge.

Can't wait to get my hans on it too.. Think i'll be getting it chipped too, not going to tell her though - will wait to see if she notices when its done!! LOL!
