i'm going to get a philj -60 lowering kit.

i have 195-45-15 tyres will these rub at all?

i never have a car full i just mean in general driving

cheers

nope they'll be fine this is the exact kit i got, i was running 195/50/15 and rubbed loads, put on 195/45/15 and never rubs now unless i go over a big bump, corner very hard or have 4 pasengers.

hmmm iv herd loads of things about lowering in this place. can i just ask a question i have been wondering which dont seem to be asked yet:

-if you lower it by up to 60mm with 15inch alloys.(nt sure wht tyres but not stupidly slim) ..will it rubb? everyone says it wont rubb..but is this with 4 people in the car lol :S and going over speed bumps. thats what i want to know haha. and subbs in the boot...

i only ever have me and me g/f in the car, barley ever have people in the back.
tbh i don't think subs in the back will do that much to the weight, i know there heavy but no to the extent they will lower the car more.

they probs will rub on full lock i have 195-45-15 so the width is 45 so apparently wont rub.. i'm, taking the guys word for it above lol

well i have the phil j kit set at 60/60 and 195/45/15 tyres. On full lock it dosnt rub. On a good road surface it wont rub. I can corner pretty damn hard and fast without it rubbing. If you take speed bumps slowly it wont rub. With two people in it wont rub. With 4 people in it rubs occaisionly but not very hard. On a bumpy road it may rub slightly if you are going fast. Make sure you get your tracking and camber done properly and you should be fine. With regards to safety, its safer in the fact that you can take corners faster without risk of losing control or tipping over, but remeber the fact your flinging it round blind corners at stupid speeds is always going to make it more dangerous lol.

all i want them for really is like i said to reduce the scaryness of rolling over going 2mph round a corner

and also to give a nice look to the car and fill in the 70mm i have between wheel and arch.

ps how much roughly is the camber and tracking done at a garage?

its normallu about £40 but i payed £80 to get it done at a specialist wheel alighnment place did a 4-wheel alighnment using lasers and a computer, it was well worth it the steering is absoultely spot on i can let go of the wheel going down the motorway without it veering at all, not that i would lol. Id hionestly say my polo handles better than any ive ever driven lol.

I have the Philj 80/80 kit running on 15's (195/45/15) and can safely carry two other adults with little or no scrubbing, that's including the subs and amps in the boot.
