Sony CDX-50UI-Ipod Connection

Hi all
Need some advice, regarding best way to go about fitting my Ipod connection in my glove box. My problem is the Ipod connection cable is fixed the rear of the HU. So this means I will have to drill an even bigger hole to fit the large socket through.
I am trying to acheive a proffesional finish.
