Hmm thats very strange - heres a good one. I fitted my new Blaupunkt iPod cable today, and now if the radio is on, the central locking wont unlock when I take the ignition key out - how strange is that!!!

It may be the K-line on yours - there is a cable VW use to flash the little light when the ignition is off, and that may well cause the havoc...also checkto see that your dash illiumination is at full as this causes issues on mine.

Also, you interested in purchasing a Blaupunkt iPod kit from me? (ive got one just lying about practically un used)

I moved up to a different kind as it wasnt right for my radio. It cost me £70 quid so say £50? Its very easy to fit - you just need to wire the exposed cable to the chunky red cable on the back of your stereo with a crimp so it gets power.

Let me just check the haynes manual.....Brown red is the ground :)

its the wire colour. The brown wire with the red stripe is the ground wire basically so the (-) wire and the other wire is the (+)
