I wouldn't superglue anything to the car if I was you, get yourself some trim repair tape from Halfords
There's nothing wrong with spraying the badges, plenty of people have done it

Whats the best way of removing the rear badge, is it just a case of heating with a hair drying and pealing off?

If its the lettering you're on about, yes, heat it up a little and use some thin cotton or similar (dental floss!) to "saw" behind the badge and remove it from the tailgate.
As for the VW roundel, if it is a warm day you can just pull this off with your bare hands! I removed my black badge on Monday evening with no heating up at all.
Incidentally, I have a genuine black rear and black front VW badge for sale if you are after one. I have a buyer for the front badge if you are only after the back one too! For sale post is
here.
Cheers

I've never heated any of my badges to get them off.
My GTi badge was taken off at 7:20am (not exactly a warm time of day) just using a bit of cotton, then some WD40 and my fingers to get the sticky residue off
