UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

I have just brought a MK4 Polo and found out that the drivers side electric window does not work. The wires appear to be ok and when i press the switch it seems to make a clicking sound, which suggests to me that it is working.

Has anyone ever come across this before? Or do you have any idea what the problem could be?

look in the DIY guides section there is a massive thread on there about electric windows breaking its a very common fault on mk4's
