Yesterday evenin' on the way home from work, the car infront of me pulled out of a junction but then slammed on when there was nothing comin', i was lookin' to see if anything was comin after she set off and it was still clear so went but looked around and then she was just slammed on so i braked of course and went into the back of her at approx 5-10mph, her car is a skoda 5 door hatchabck felicia..
she now claims that her passenger door wont open properlly and im some what curious that she might be trying to take me for a ride
is it possible for a collision of that speed to cause such damage??

Passenger door on a rear collision thats a new one! Should have caused that - maybe the central locking pump got damaged.

so do you think that she is just trying to take me for a ride and that damage is pretty un heard of from a small rear impact??

Id think so, yes. Ask to examine her car - if shes lying shell say no way!

I crashed into the back of someone, and it only damaged the back end of their car - to put it simply. knocked their bumper off and that was it. Also screwed their rear cross member.

If you hit at maybe 50-60mph then maybe such damage would be possible as it could do chassis damage, but 5-10mph wouldnt even come close to this.

Put it this way mate, I had someone go into the back of me last year, but they were doing 40-50mph at the time. I didnt have a problem with either of my doors opening, and my car looked like this:

sh*t, there car had a tiny curve in her bumper thats it but there weas two gashes in my bumer and hers like the bumper had been pushed back onto the chassis leg or something, she reckons the framework has been pushed forward and its effected the door, could i have a case against her wihtout any witness's, if she was being un reasonable about it? cause she is failry insistant on going through insurance

It wouldnt be possible for it to have push the framework forward at that speed! Besides, the cross member would take the impact of anything fairly firm anyhow!

im fairly certain i was gina round 10mph so still is that to slow for any internal damage??

My opinion is yes, its too slow. Im sure other people will agree

Easy stuff to get fixed then. Slight respray, new grille and a num plate and your sorted!

yer its alright for me, shell need a new bumper maybe but thats it, i tihnk it was already abit damaged before hand.. im soo annoyed, why are people so un reasonable about things..

Lol its hard to say to be honest - they always think that its not their fault, but hesistance causes a hell load of accidents to be honest with you!

You gonna settle it by a cheque? (wouldnt be worth it on the insurance to be honest)
