what would the police do if they stopped you with them on?
just tell you to take them off?

thinking abouting getting some pressed metal ones without the german eu bit on it, there the uk legal font too.

not sure if i should just get the german looking ones tho

i've got pressed plates with uk legal font, correct spacing and reflective too and have had no problems! even had police driving behind me!

still illegal though purely as they are pressed! i've got my real ones in the boot just incase! :D

I haven't heard of anyone actually getting stopped but apparently you are likely to be issued with a a'rectification notice' ... giving you 'x' amount of days to change them. I think you're probably more likely to just be told off a little though if you do get stopped.

a mate of mine had german plates on his M5 and he got fined and told that if he was caught again with them on then he could lose his private plate!
unluckily he got stopped twice in one day, he got stopped in the morning and then his g/f borrowed the car in the evening and got stopped aswell, both for plates!

I've got some and to be honest I don't think it's a problem on a non-chavved polo.

other cars maybe, and it depends on your number - for instance the german font for a "0" has a gap, and the cops are more likely to raise hell over it.

I went for it and got the pressed metal ones with the german eu symbol on them. I'll just keep my legal plates in the car tho, just incase.

I'll put up a pic when i get them

what david said is correct they look great but if you get caught you best have the stansards in da boot as they will kick up a stink about them. i wud still get them lol
