Hi peeps,
I'm thinking of selling my mk4 anniversary golf and buying a 9N tdi polo(cheaper to run)
I'm just a bit confused as to which model pays which amount of road tax.
I know that some of the 1.4 TDI's are £35 a year but what are all the others?

Also what sort of mpg can i expect?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :?

Are you sure about that £35??? I pay £115 for a year on mine. You can expect any thing from 35-60 mpg depending on how you drive.

£35 bloody hell! not sure which model! has to be under 120g/km or whatever it is - perhaps that new bluemotion one?

£115 for the 1.9tdi and 40-65mpg

I've heard too that the Polo 1.4 TDI's have £35 annual road tax :? Not sure if it was being referred to the MK5 though I suspect it would be the same regardless.

no, they fit different things and so on to make it more efficient. therefore less fuel consumption per km and therefore less CO2. It's the new Polo I think, not the 9N.

The new 1.4 TDI units definately are £35 per year to tax with the exception of base Bluemotion which is exempt.

i'd heard about that £35 figure aswell, wouldn't that be nice!

oh well, last year i paid £110 for the year on a pd130 ibizam (same as a 1.2 petrol polo) but it has apparently gone up to £115 this year!

Ah thanks. yeah it's the 9N3(?) 1.4's that are £35.

So basicly all the tdi's are £115 a year regardless of whether they're 1.4 or 1.9's then?
Hmm may have to be a GT130 then.
Certainally beats £112 for 6 months on the golf and 30mpg.
