I'd say yes.
I gave up spacing my plate different in the end, constantly driving around wondering how long it'd be til I get pulled over then having to fork out for a legal set of plates.

the numbers n letters are illegal that I have the now and ave not had any bother, so not sure if they just dont care bout them nowadays? You see ppl drivin about with squiggly letters n numbers!

You'd get stopped as it'd look out of place on the front of the polo as well as being illegal shape and spacing.

From looking at your sig pic, the only thing illegal with your plate at the mo is the spacing. The font looks as though it's the standard UK Font.

Looks like the authorities are gona be tightening up on non standard plates. Always passed MOT with my banded German plates, doesn't look like it now.

This would explain why im making so many new sets of plates at work for cars having MOTs!!

i was pulled loads of times in the clio with my plate spaced
D11NK T
legal font and every thing.
don't know whether to keep the plate for the gti.

You hit the nail right on the head Dave, my old man got pulled for his plate months ago.
Fair does the font isn't the legal font but it isn't itallic or anything like that (it's on an A4 Cabriolet so wouldn't want anything tasteless, plus I got it made for them

)
That's the first time he's had trouble in the 3 years of owning it.
