handbrake cable

Hows it going guys? just need some pointers to how easy it is to fit handbrake cable as mine has snapped. (mk2 1300cc)
I haven't replced it, only looked at it.
My guess is it's moderately difficult to tear the end that fits under the lever from the underside of the car to the handbrake lever. Removing the stuff around the handbrake lever is not that much of a hassle.
The screw that attaches the other end of the brake cable to this adjuster type of thing at the rear was seized. So, in order to be able to adjust the handbrake I had to cut it off with a saw and bought a new screw with a locknut from a DIY store.
