Regretfully, I am thinking of selling my Polo GTi after I get a new clutch fitted.
What do you think is a fair asking price?

New front pads and discs
Cambelt changed at 65k miles
Rain sensitive wipers

Lovingly cared for and in excellent condition!!

what about service history? i'm guessing it got a fair amount as you seem to have looked after it properly!
its on average miles i'd say but i think you'd be looking between 4.5k and 5.5k maybe?

Cheers Dan!
Yeah, it has a full service history!
Although it hasn't been serviced at the steelers (I wanted a better service than a quick wipe over the engine bay with a damp cloth

)

thats cool, and i know where your coming from! the dealers once left my car with oil all over the engine bay and a dent in either wing! i was not amused!
with the FSH then i think you will see closer to 5.5k

I am thinking of moving over to a GTI but have seen quite a few GTI's with FSH around 57-65k miles for around £4k - £4.8 mark So 5.5k seems quite high from what I have seen but I have only just started looking at GTI's
Dont suppose any one wants to buy my polo? lol

To be honest I suspect that £5.5K is REALLY pushing it, and a price more in the ballpark of £4.5K - £4.8K is more realistic, even with the work you've done. Its what other have suggested as well recently.

I say up to 4.5k. My car is a year younger, has leather and has only done 42k and I'd sell it for 4.8-5k

It is well known that the parkers value is less than you can actually achieve. A decent GTi like TheEggShell's will fetch over £4k with ease. No more than £4.6k though IMO.

No they won't!
I don't know of anyone who bases the price they pay for a car on what the Parkers guide says.
