Help. I need some advice please.

I have just bought 2006 VW Polo 1.2 55ps and really like it. I have wanted a polo for years and finally got the money togther to buy one. I am really happy with it but am worrying (probably unnecessarily!) about the engine noise and shaking whilst the car is stationary and idling. I had it checked over by the delears yesterday and they said it's fine and a slight engine vibration and juddering is normal for a 3 cylinder. Does anyone know if this is normal? I am still within the 30 day exchange period and it has warranty for another year and a half. Should a take it back, exchange it or carry on in the warranty period to see if it causes any further problems. thanks in advance.

3 cyl engines will vibrate a little bit as it doesnt balence out aswell at low RPMs, But... In a newer car i shouldnt imagen you would feel it. I would have it looked at once again to be sure. Although its quite possible it is the norm.

Thank you for getting back to me. I have been to 2 garages for advice including 1 that specifically does tuning and they reckon it's OK. I am still not convinced, but considering I have taken the car away on 2 long weekends doing considerable mileage and I've not had any problems, I'm going to leave it I reckon. It's under warranty and apart from the juddering it's a lovely drive. The revs counter stays static which I have been told is a good sign. Thanks again though.
