just a couple of shots before i froze my bits off today doing the near side rub strips with soapy hot water and engine degreaser and a hair dryer
now with kenwwod head unit
crystal side indicators
clear side front indicators
steath back wiper
debadged rear
should of seen it when i bought her.

that was a pot hole that cost me two new 19" rs6,s council wouldnt payup.well pissed off.thats why i went for 18" rs4,s .i am really pleased with the wifes polo the paint work is looking good now with a clay and polish.

wats the best way 2 get the rub strips off?
coz i used white spirit n it toook months.......literally
ne 1 gt ne other suggestions?

hair dryer/soapy water and an old credit card or fishing wire. slower the better slide the card behind the strip.the more glue you get off the better.then i used wd40 or engine degreaser to get the rest off.then t-cut the paintwork back to glory

looks alot better with the strips off.if you wait while its warmer weather it would be alot easier.i did mine last month and i had to heat it up alot.

I found a wet cloth with methanol spirit more time efficient although you require a big arm to keep scrubbing!
PAtience works though cos you really don't want to ruin the paintwork.

arnt forums for peeps to chat and ask about there cars

ive been on alot of vag forums that are happy to chat about there cars except passatworld

full of yanks

i go to the leeds vw festival with ukpassats stand with my passat 1.8t and everyone is welcome.my wife was thinking of taking her polo this year aswell but will she be able to chat too anyone
