Today i fitted my weitec coilovers with my dad on my 1.4mpi, took about 3 hours in the freezing cold
However when i am driving and whenever i go over a bump or divot or whatever the suspension or something is making a 'banging' or 'clunking' noise!!! We checked everything and all nuts and bolts are tight,etc
Any ideas??? Is this common when coilovers are fitted?

havn't got them myself but i'm pretty sure its a common thing for them to make noises?

Plus remember that they've only been on there a few hours, the srpings are still setting and adjusting themselves

true but when i had had it lowered before with just springs it wasn't making this noise.
its really hard to describe the noise, but it is literally over any bump, divot, anything that causes the suspension to move.

do you have to grease them?

Double check that all the bolts are tight. Especially the nut where the strut bolts to the top mount, the middle one. Other than that, give the top of the strut a good grease up, where the top mounts are.

nowt to worry about mate, its a common thing on the suspension, just gotta live with it, everyone else does LOL

looking nice mate so far, my mate has the RH Cups on his ka, nice set of rims:

Looks pretty good but think it would look better with a bit more drop at the front! i wouldn't really say it was arse heavy but to give it that aggressive stance, get the nose down another 10mm or so

Keep it though, comin along nicely

Im perhaps seeing the RH cup route very soon

Also, a rear aero wiper would really finish the rear look off in my opinion. Its a cheap mod, and costs about twenty squid. Defo worth it!

where can you get these aero wipers from?

Here is the parts you will need to do a rear wiper conversion:

6Q6 955 707 C - Wiper Arm
3C9 955 425 - Rear Aero Blade (280mm same as the polo)
6Q6 955 435 B - Cap for the wiper to finish the look

All totals to under 20 quid and are available from your local dealer

how much did the kit set you back if you dont mind me asking?

do i just take them part numbers to my VW garage? and also is it easy to fit?
The kit cost me £475 from esp design, pretty good website!
I carnt wait now until i get some alloys put on!

Yep just take that to a dealer

To fit, you need to remove the current cap, remove the bolt and arm and just fit the new arm, replace the bolt and the new cap

You will need to push the clip on the blade up slightly - to do this, just line up where the end of the arm will be on the windscreen, and measure the gap between that and the top of the glass. The gap between the top of the blade and the clip needs to be this

I know that sounds sillyly complicated, but once you have the bits youll see how simple it is (thats just a technical breakdown!)
