R reg 6n to be or not to be

hello there.
I havent posted or even looked on here for ages! I find myself in a great postion, starting a new job next thursday in my chosen career of graphic design (woohoo) so apart from buying some suits im pretty set
The poor old polo however has seen better days! It got the catback exhaust system treatment, which rocks but i still need to fit a smaller exhaust clamp and reseal a section as i clobbered it going over a speed bump and knocked it the same day i fitted it.
engines in good nick nice low mileage jobby 1.6 and I've had a set of lowering springs + shocks in my mums garage that I got off r1ch about a year and a bit ago i still havent fitted!
there's been some serious rustage on the drivers door since i peeled back the bubbled stonechips and coated it in zinc primer, the surface is bumpy and eaten into and the primer is bubbling up with rust again!
So i know i have a few electrical faults too, nothing massive just dodgy window/wiper/mirror motors
I've always been really tempted to get the suspension on, fit some Porsche tombstones and strip out the back a bit, perhaps leaving in some sound deadending etc just so i can throw in the back seats if i need to.
so basically guys do i strip it down, fit the suspension, try and sort out something with the bodywork + electrics or do i just let it die a dignified slow death over the next 2-3 years?
this really is the make pete save pete's car thread, give me inspiration! I need to get back into tweaking the car and getting my hands thoroughly oily and cut up.
p.s this will probably really get on the wrong side of the lady.
