i have in my posession a better brake upgrade, i have chosen goodridge brake hoses, 25th anniversary golf gti calipers and carriers all brand new from vag parts and 312 mm tarox sport japan disks and tarox strada pads from awesome gti

will get to fitting them soon as i get chance

and im not on the lookout for a new ball bearing balistic series turbocharger, this will be my next mod, im tempted by a garret as thats what apr stage 3+ uses but i have also seen good results from the IHI units too, so a bit more research needed before i order at the end of the month

Spend a bit of time on www.seatcupra.net/forums Jeff, loads and loads of info on bigger turbo conversions and even a forum section dedicated to just this. Only issues between the mk4 Beezer and the Polo is the space behind the bumper for intercoolers but I'm sure that can be overcome if there are any issues.

hi not been on here for a while but from selling my polo i now have a leon with the ihi kit but you can only run around 320 bhp on std internals i was going to change them on my leon but befor i could get around to doing this i have to sell it so are you intrested in a set of scat rods and a set of JE forged pistons this should get you around 360 on the ihi or the full power the apr kit will make

the apr stage 3 conversion runs at 340 hp without internals and im honestly not going any further in power, just changing the way it is delivered,

the std ko3s is quite an on and off application (quite a wavy graph), highlighted on the rr graphs,

im looking to replace the turbo to improve this and improve drivability and smooth out the power a bit, not necessarilly changing it to go further with power, though benifits such as quicker spool up and extended peak will be an outcome just by changing the turbo unit

anyone know any info on the ihi vf34 turbo?

how it spools compared to the standard ko3s etc revs, duration etc

is it a direct fit to standard intake & oil, water hoses and manifold?

thats what im running mapped at 1.2 bar 320bhp total different drive to the ko3s spool is very quick power never drops off all the way to 7700 rpm

as for fitting it you will need a new manifold and down pipe plus new oil pipes and water pipes plus you will need to sort the fueling too

you sure about that? i have heard the vf34 bolts straight on to the stock manifold?

as for downpipe, i already have a turbo back miltek system so assuming the turbo bolts on to the stock manifold, the manifold end at the downpipe is already sorted on my car, so in theory should just bolt on? apart from the oil and water feeds?

and am i also right in saying i wont need to alter the fueling? as i aint going for more power, just to smoothen out its delivery

it will not bolt on on its own with no other parts but if you want to have a try go for it

ask these guys in the link about fitting

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=146

will never run right with out the fueling ie injectors and fuel pump and a remap
