Year 2000 done 140k, tax till end of jan, test till end of march...
Good points: I've just done the major service, recon box, cambelt, clutch, oil, filters, plugs, and the bodywork is almost imaculate, 1 fingernail sized ding, drives lovely.
Climate
6 Disc Changer
Xenons
Driver and passenger airbags
abs
all electrics
Remote locking
vw alarm+immob etc
Bad points: The milage is high, but you wouldn't know it to look at or drive the car. Other than that not much, one small dent above the passenger rear window, but it's barely noticable. one wheel bearing hums a little, but i will do this before it goes.

ye have looked around, most places you can't find anything for less than £3k, but the highest milage i've seen is 110k.
Thing is i don't like to be unrealistic, but it seems at what they are advertised all over the place people either are unrealistic or the cars are worth good money ?!?!
been advertising at £2,700o.n.o but only because i expect someone to offer 2/300 below the price in the ad, as that's what i do ?

lol, also i know the milage is high, but surely just having a new clutch and cambelt and recon box and service literally just carried out makes it as good a car as any, i'e it's got all the worries out of the way straight off !
Maybe 12months MOT would help ?

definately makes a difference, i'd stick with 2700 and see what happens, you've got to remember some low mileage examples still go for just under 5k

yeh i'd say thats a realistic and good plan, the major service clutch gearbox etc are a plus but everyone will remember the milage more than them unfortunately!
good luck with the sale

VERY true. I've tried selling cars even slightly later than this in the year, and the fact its so cold puts people off. With my last car I sold it at the beginning of April. It made such a difference - wierdly the first person who rang/saw it bought it - 1 week after putting it in Autotrader.

Ye i think maybe the time of year has something to do with it, i guess will just have to wait and see what people make of it in the coming months, tempted to stick it on ebay, but i don't recon it'll make a fair price on ebay.
if i really want to sell it i guess i'll have to sell stupid cheap, but it kills me to do it as it's such a nice car !!

Just a quick and annoying comment...
If you want more money for your car, take photos with a decent camera that has crisp and sharp photos...
Trying to look at photos of a car through a 'blizard' puts me right off....im sure others feel the same...
