maybe if you get hold of some cheap alloys, will make your car look SOOOOO much better, the transform the image instantly!
( i know may not be the cheapest thing but well worth it)

true lowering is good, but depends if you want springs or coilovers, could be an expensive job
saying that alloys arent much cheaper lol

nah i got my alloys 2nd hand in mint nick for £90, just gotta keep your eye open. For more on lowering u can read about it in this little guide i wrote time ago here http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=32634.

cheap common mods are clear indicators and side reaptors (bout £25 for the lot) obviously stubby or bee sting arial wont cost a few quid some nice pedals are a neat little interior mod and cost about a tenner. Debadged grilles are always good pick one of them up for about £20, dead easy to fit and make the car look quite different (from normal polos, not modeded ones lol.) Debadging and debumper stripping is popular, looks pretty good and wont cost u a penny.
Just be creative, eg i sprayed all my door pins silver, costs couple of quid for a can of paint?

My advice is keep an eye out for bargains on here and on ebay also on club polo, avoid halfords like the plague, and thnik about what your buying, dnt by on impulse (my mistake a few times!) Its well easy to be like "ooohhhh £20 for a shiny handbrake" and buy it then think "crap cld of baught something well good for that"

You can get cheap lowering kits from philJs which are a bargain and around the same price as alloys. I'd advice to lower the car first rather then getting alloys cos your car looks better right from the first mod.

Just like Joe suggested, there's minor mods which can improve your car looks like getting rid of rubstrips, lights, grille etc. Get all that sorted which won't cost you much and then do the bigger mods.

Thanks for the advice, how do you debadge and destrip it? wont this damage the paintwork?
