which clutch have you got?

right i mite replace my clutch when i take my box out so i want to know which clutch is the lightest one as mine is really heavy. so any sugestions will be appreciated.

From my experience the Valeo items are the lightest
A new clutch and cable will make the pedal softer

I had a standard one fitted when my previous one died. Along with a new clutch cable and a mechanic who really knew what he was doing (lots of testing, trial-fitting, lubricating, greasing etc, it is pretty damned good. When I first got in the car I thought that the pedal was not attached to anything as it was so light!
Needless to say that as it has worn in, it has become heavier, but not unmanageably so
(unlike the previous clutch!).

when my box went I got a Sachs clutch fitted - best thing I ever did.
A massive improvement IMO I'd go for Sachs or Valeo

what advantages do they have over the standard? are they more expensive?

I got the sachs one as well, felt smooth like silk, when i got it compared to my old one

The Valeo one is the OE/standard factory fitment!

I agree. The Sachs one is sooo much better than standard.

I've got a Sachs one on mine too, its very light indeed. I thought that the standard clutch was the Valeo one?
