I may be wrong but it sounds like you got the wrong bulbs. The led sidelights i use are a direct replacement job and i didnt need to cut or splice any wires. The led unit simply plugged straight in. You got a picture of the bulbs your trying to fit?

Kenny are you on about a load resistor kit?
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/loadbsolutio ... p-429.html
these are to stop some sort of warning popping up that newer cars detect, (they think somethings wrong because of the low power consumption ised by LEDs)
there's a little bit of information on them on here
bottom of the 2nd page and 3rd.

you shouldn't need to fit the resistor kit to your car, I'm guessing you have a 9n3 like me? I've got LEDs fitted on my car without this extra kit...you sure you really need it?

I have had led sidelights in my car for over a year with no warning light problems or fault code issues. My 9n3 was hooked up to VAG com last week and no faults found. Unless I'm very wrong you do not need to worry about a resistor kit on a 9n3 -
do not cut or splice your loom!!!!
Have a look on
www.ultraleds.co.uk for the bulbs - they are 501 wedge type. There is not the clearence for the multi type LED sidelight bulbs in the headlights though so buy the shortest ones they sell, the staff there are great if you want to phone them to check your ordering the right ones.

I've got these, use them all the time for showing off as they're bright and very cool looking, almost projector style (well mine are)
Now I've got HIDs tho, they are outdone by the 55w brightness lol
