need help please

after my r reg i.4 petrol has been stood for afew hours i start it and it runs for 100 yards and cuts out it is hard to start as if it as having to pull pet through lick when u run out after restart and reving it for 2 3 mins it is ok I changed h t leads did not help ichanged temp sender did not help i changed fuel filter did not help any more advice thanks barry
