Anyone know a site that sells the hella adapter cable? The cables used to convert the 9n3 rear lights onto the 9n. Thanks

I'm very tempted to do this MOD - but I'm not convinced the wires will all pull out (and re-thread) as easily as its made out. My worse case scenario is that I will shag one (or more) of the wires as I try to tease them out and screw the whole loom ;)

I would much prefer the adaptor (if there is one) or leave well alone! :P

Yes I sympathise with you on this - it sounds easy but unless you develop the correct knack and use suitably sized/shaped extract tools there is always the possibility of breaking the retainer on a few pins. I fitted a proper VW lane changer convenience kit on my Passat, it involved depopulating one connector and populating a new one - and it certainly tried my patience - in the past at work I've dealt with quite a lot of high density connector pin extraction/refitting.
