Traction control?

Do the polos have traction control? Its just I reset my ecu(left the battery off for more than an hour) and when I turned the polo back on a traction control light flashed up on the dash. It then disappeared. I tried spinning the wheels and it doesnt come back up again. Also on dipped beam there is no light. Only a blue one when it is on full beam. Is this right or had a bulb blown?

Cheers Arnoldo

yeh you have ABS.

Theres no light display for the dipped beams, just for the full beams so your fine.

Unless I've been living with a blown one myself since I bought the car lol!!

Ye it comes up in audi's and mini's and its exactly the same symbol in the polo. When theres lack of grip it flashes up.

I think ur getting confused
all polos except the mk6 onwards dont have traction control (even on the gtis) But they do have abs!
ABS is when your braking hard and lock the wheels the abs should kick in and pulse the braking to allowe u 2 still stear whilst braking( so u dont just skid down the road in a strait line!)
Traction conttrol is 2 prevent the wheels spinning whilst u r driving Or 2 prevent u from understeering of the road whilst cornering hard!
Easy way 2 tell if u have tracion control is if u did u whould also have a button on the dash which would allow u 2 swith it off ( or half off depending on the model!)
Hope this helps and clears this up!
