Leaking oil HELP!!!!!

hello all im just wondering whether anyone cud help me i have realised lil puddles of oil leaking out of my car when i have been parked up for a little while. its coming from the front area of the car i have checked the dipstick and that was all good everything else is fine but am not sure about the gearbox because i have allready had a gearbox blow in this car and thats because all the gearbox oil leaked out and it was running dry but i dont know how to check it anyone got any ideas?
