your correct, its a mk3 golf one!

as for fitted, i'd imagine it'd need cutting down in the middle and on the ends to make it fit nicely as a mk3 polo is a fair amount narrower than a golf! i'd imagine its screwed or pot riverted to the bottom of the mk3 polo bumper. the thing that i'm not sure of is if you have to cut off the clips which hold the splitter onto the front of a golf! there are several locating clips which are all part of the splitter that clip into the bumper on the golf!

you should see the roads where i live, some have grass growing up the middle of them! a 40mm drop is un-noticeable, it wont look lowered at all! 60 is the best drop to go for if the roads are a bit rough. my g40 is 40mm on the front and somewhere between 70 and 80 on the back. i didnt want to go low for the same reasons as you, but i know want to drop the front down another 30mm!

i had a 30 to 40 mm on my old blue mk3, it just didn't seem low enough on 15's! if i were to do it again, i A) wouldn't get 15's and B) go for a 60mm drop!

that G40 looks evil with those slights and splitter!
