Thought it was just gti's??

Just got my 1.1 6n2 (project 2ovt) dropped of at my house 2day and ive noticed its got a stubby n/s wing mirror??? Thought it was just the gti's that came like this?

none of them are supposed to come with 2 stubby mirrors supposedly

and there isnt a 1.1 6n2? and no none of them come with stubby wing mirrors unless the previous owner has changed it

lol read his post properly guys...

all 6n2s come with a stubby PASSENGER side mirror (aka N/S)

He thought only GTis came like that, when infact it's the whole 6n2 range.

sorry i forget that every one doesnt use the n/s o/s thing! lol
For those of u that dont know near side is passanger side and off side is drivers side!
And as for the 1.1 thing my bad typo its a one 1.0 or 998cc !lol
So all polos had a stubby then? Well been working for vw for 6 and a bit years now and ive never noticed that! lol :oops:

lol yeah, well im pretty sure they all do...would be strange if some did and some didn't!

My ibiza is based on your polo in a way, and that has a stubby passenger and drivers side larger also.

I thought it was the other way around? Near side being the drivers because it's closer?

Near side means nearest to the kerb, thats what i found out when i got confused in the past.

Wouldnt that also mean that Nearside is the drivers side though lol?

We drive on the left of the road, so the left side of the car is closest to the kerb, thus being the nearside.

how much different is the o/s stubby mirror is it alot as mine look about the same size i dont think the person who owned the car b4 me would have changed them but may have

a rare few came with stubby o/s as well as n/s, including mine :P
