Here you go pics as promised.

I have put VW centre caps on in the 2nd and 3rd pics. Its supposed to be a 40mm drop on the front.
What do you guys think?

I have only dropped the back 50mm but it needs to come down more. Smoothed bumpers coming friday

so I will wait until their on as to how low I go. Im pleased with the look.
Any comments welcome.

hhmm I reckon it looks lower than 40mm on the front, your front wheels are nearly under the arches! what size are they?

15" wheels with a 195/45/15 profile. So not a big wheel really. But now Im getting a problem finding a garage who will do my tracking/camber etc as the front wheel is under the arch.

Yeh, on the mark 5s (not sure if it applys to mark4s also) if you lower the car too much you can't adjust the camber,
40mm will be fine though, however it really looks more than that on the front!

thats my querry to, if u lower it so the tyres are near enough under the arch how can u get the camber checked???? if its possible or is it a question of going through tyres like a baby through nappies?
assuming the mk4 and 5 are the same, it looks like ur lowered about 60mm or 70mm front and about 30mm or 40mm back. my cars only 30mm down and the front is way to high. still got about 30 or 40mm to go to make it look good. and the back isnt as bad as its the back anyway.

I dont know how low you can go before you can't adjust the camber, personally if I came to that problem I'd raise the height, its not worth the hassle. Your best bet is taking it to the garage and asking them to do it, and if they can't cos it's too low raise it there and then til they can

Car looks good. Think you need mk5 red rears though instead of the lex-arse ones, trust it'll look much classier. Furthermore, remove the rubstrips and the chrome plate surround!
The front looks way too low to be 40mm, I had mine down 40mm and it was no where near that although the back looks about right. Your car doesn't look too low for camber adjustment so you shouldn't have any problems there.

looks good mate!
that front is far too low to be 40mm! thats more like 60-80mm judging by a few other cars on the forum!

Went to garage today and it is to low for camber adjustment. If they pull the wheel straight it is going to hit the arch

Il have to try and get 30mm springs instead hope fully the wheel wont rub. Other option is arch rolling.

I wouldnt serach just yet, for its definitely not 40mm on the front mate, there must of been some mistake with the kit?
