Whats the size and thickness of front n rear discs (GTi)?
Wanting to change my brakes and pads, but which ones are best.
I've read that drilled holes are prone to cracking.

standard are 288 mm by either 25 mm or 28 mm cant remember which
as for cracking, i guess its dependant on whos products you use, i use tarox sport japan disks which are grooved, cross drilled and heat treated, and have had no issues with them, the difference is absolutley heaps better than the standard solid disks
however, talking from experience, although just uprated disks and pads do make a difference, its not much, and after trying this and not being satisfied i and others from here went for the 312 mm setup, including new disks, pads, calipers, carriers and stainless steel braided hoses, i can honestly say the difference now compared to stock setup is a worthy upgrade and stop you fantastically
i recommend saving up for this setup and not just doing the disk and pad swap

288x25 is that the front?
the 312mm discs, would they need new carriers?
The braided hoses on VAG Parts, are they made from goodridge.

Im after the black diamond grooved front & rear discs, but there's none shown for polo gti on europerformance website.
Could I use 312mm and 256mm discs from the golf section on europerformance website, then get the golf anniversary front and rear carriers n calipers from VAG parts?
