Hey again!

I've seen some 6N's with colour coded doors handles. Is it possible to just DIY respray them or do you have to go for new ones?

Cheers,

Daz

DIY resprays work if you know how to do it. Mine was done professionally as the whole car had a spray.

I'd just get them done with the bumper and spoiler mate

i done mine my self :D lol
reds almost an identical match, just in some really odd shading you can tell but not easily
its the cheapish and easy way to do it, as well as removing the sidestrips, looks mint :)

Hey mate, do you have any pictures? I might just get it done with the bumper and spoiler but wouldn't mind going cheapo :D

but yea all i done pop them out sand em down thouroughly, primered them 2 coats, then one white, and two final coats of red, i also gave them 1 coat of lacquer but think i need to redo them as the passengers got a wee flake in it so would be better with probs three coats of the good old lacquer :)
but yea still looks good in my opinion :D
especially in red ;)

Did you find that the black showed through? Thats the only worry I had, that maybe they didn't match the doors due to the colour darker.

I'd strongly recommend getting them done professionally mate, especially if your already getting work done.

It's very hard to get an exact match, and you'll probably find yourself spending more on paint and paper than actually paying a professional to get it done!

nah the black doesnt show through, thts why i gave it a coat of white aswell, so the red would be more deeper to match the car.
and if you are getting work done anyway, it might be a good idea just to chuck them in with it as it'll be less hassle for yourself :)
but if its not for a good while, id do it yourself :)

You could be spending a lot anyway doing it yourself as mentioned above and if you save any £££ it won't be much anyway. So you might as well bung it in with the rest of the work as it'll only be another £40ish pounds at the most for both.

well it only cost me about £6 to do it, as i already had sand paper lying around, and primer and white paint from my last car, so £6 for red paint...
so i saved a bit, but depends wat u got lying around at the time i suppose

just bung em in with the lot, just so everything will match better lol :)
