Sweet cars. Especially with that engine... We never did get 75 horses in the GT I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong My Fellow Dutchies.
May be I can get the GF to get one...

I was kinda waiting for that.
Never seen one though, either online or IRL. I take it they're rare, then?

They are idd a bit rare, But I have driven an orginal dutch GT 2F (a red one) with an 3F engine, couple of years back.
But these GT's are not as rare as a 2F classic (sedan version 90-94)
OT:
Are you going to the VW-Speed.nl meeting @ Eibergen this weekend (sunday 8th ?)

that white one looks nice!
I can't believe how much GT's have dropped in price.. years ago I bough mine on 78k, 2 previous owners, and full VAG history for £1700!! Probably worth less then half that now...

There's a 2F classic?
I'm a total n00b when it comes to older models. I'm currently reading up on my aircooled history but this would be the next class.
Offtopic;
Hadn't realized there was a meeting this weekend. Already? Hope the weather holds... Tbh I won't be able to go anyway, I'm (partially) stripping the car to have it sprayed next week.

Well officialy this is an polo classic. in most European countries VW decided change the name to polo classic in the mid 80´s (netherlands in 83 en Germany in 85)
But most peaple still use the name Derby

Thanks for the info Gilex. Still lots to learn eh.
@Karl: TwoTone? Nah... I already broke the bank to get a partial respray (all except the roof/bootlid/rearbumper), so I'm keeping the original color for now. They either tried to get in to see what was there (nothing) or get the car, 'cos there's nothing missing and the car's still there... Damaged the door in the process, requiring some work + paint.

You know what we say in these cases:
JE bent nooit te oud om te leren
Or in English You´re never to old to learn something.
