Hi there,

Trying to fit some pedals that were supplied by Vagparts.

The Brake and clutch pedal are a doddle, and seem to come off and fit easily, but the accelerator doesnt want to come off.

Anyone done this?

Can you talk me through the best way to remove and fit?

Try heating it up with a hairdryer or something

Whats it's actually the problem?

Is it some sort of adhesive holding it on? In which case I'd recommend trying what Mouse has suggested.

Or is it generally awkward to maneuver off? IN which case is maybe worth cutting one side of the rubber with a stanley knife to make it easier

but should the accelerator pedal peel off too? if so what technique did u use? I cant even see the way it should come off, not like the other 2 which were very easy

You sure the rubber is still on there? It may have come off at some point, if it's done this simply put the new one on

wel there clutch and brake are rubber, but the accelerator seems to be more plastic, ill try ur suggestions, thanks

There's your answer!! So i'm assuming the new rubbers go straight onto the accelerator pedal?

What pedal rubbers does the new GTi offer? Do they get TT style ones as standard?

don't know about the GTI because I don't drive it-I think that they use the TT style as standard!
