Turn ignition on (but engine not running)

Lower the window down, then raise it, when it reaches the top of its travel, hold it for 5 seconds (you should hear a click) then it'll be one touch up and down again.

If u disconnect the battery it seems to reset the limits aswell as the radio clock etc etc. U need fully open and close the window manually a few times once u re-connect. Just for future reference

kenny d/c ing the battery does not lose the radio unless you run an aftermarket stereo

You can actually reset the one-touch feature by simply pulling both window switches up when the windows are closed. Again as said you will here a click and the jobs done.

I did this last week when i was trying to figure out if the fuse for my fans had blown (which infact turned out to be the resitor pack  )

Just a minor point, if the car has not got its "original" radio, then when the battery is reconnected you still need to enter the key code. I know this as I fitted a brand new Gamma into my imported Passat B5 and it automatically recognises this radio, two years later I fitted this radio into my wife's imported Polo 9N and it recognises it. But the secondhand Gamma I then fitted into the Passat does not get recognised - ever. I'm sure that there must be a way to "register" this other radio with the Passat - anyone know how?
