I have installed my induction kit today. I was expecting increased acceleration and top speed, but all the outcome was increased noise and increase petrol consumption with decreased speed and acceleration.

I then created a tube from the lower left vent next to the fog light to the induction air filter. Slight improvement but still not faster than original!

Anyone have any idea's what to do? Or should I just get a refund??

Big disappointment! :x

Hey mate,

Sounds like the best thing you can do if possible is get a refund, put all the original stuff back, and maybe put in a drop in filter?

Because if it's not faster now, in the summer it will bog down even worse.

It's a shame though, coz they do sound good

drop in a replacment filter element and perhaps drill the box?

If you drill it before the filter it gives you a similar sound to the induction kit but doesnt have the side affects - also some cold air ducting wouldnt be a bad idea :)

hope that helps

Sorry but drilling the box could also have a detrimental effect.

I agree with the drop in filter but as I said in an earlier post, there are internal mods you can make to the standard airbox, thus improving airflow. Obviously retaining the OEM look in the process.
