i was wondering what different tail lights i can get and where from

You can get OE late spec tinted rear light clusters, like the majority of people go for (Including myself) you get them from VW dealers, VAG parts or s/hand.

Theres also some crystal clear ones from germany, I know Venom and a few other places sell them. I dont like the look of them, but it's personal choice.

If that doesnt sound like what your after, then modify your own ones.

Stick a pair of dark tights on like I did LOL

i've seen that done before on a mk3 golf, looks good from a distance, but closer up is a different story!

It doesnt look too bad, as you can see in the picture. I did have two sets of tights on, but the lights were almost completely black!

Up close you can hardly notice at all, exept when the tights freeze in the frost

Give it a go and see if you like it - its cheap and it gives a good tint effect without spraying crappy tint spray on. If its not your cup of tea, rip 'em off

I'm no expert on tights, but my GF told me that the dark black ones are called "40 Dernier" , thats wot I used

a friend of mine put tights on her, yes her mk3 golf, may explain a few things!

or get some In-Pro taillights, clear glass ,sort of lexus style
