16v splitter

hi everyone. I fitted my valver bumpers today and went to fit my original 8v splitter but i wont fit. Is the 16v splitter a different size/shape to the 8v one? Help is appricated so i dont buy an unnessary part. Cheers guys

Hi mate, i've got both splitter so i'll check for you.

From what I can gather, the splitter on the 16v is the same length but it sticks out more. This means that the 8v won't reach end to end to the sides of the 16v bumpers. Sorry I can't be much more help, it's torrential out there and both pieces are outside :lol:

Cheers mate.
It seems looking at the bottom of the 16v bumper there is a groove along the bottom that it looks something would slide into.
Anyone got a close-ish shot of the front bumper?

its a different splitter mate, its bigger than the 8 valve, altho its the same width. You'll need to get one, mine was about £15 from vw

ah 15 quids not to bad from vw may give the local scrappy a go first, supporting the local economy and all that. Cheers guys
