2001 1400 TDI Polo
came with baulkpaunt (spl) radio which is basically knackered...

what model number should i be looking at to replace with a orginal VW one? or maybe something that you guys recommend??

spotted a few GAMMA ones on ebay but something new and shiny would be better instead of a unit out of a 100,000 mile golf

any advice / tips would be great

If you fancy sticking with a VW stereo, the GAMMA units are pretty good. You can get a good bargain on eBay and pick them up for under £20 I believe. My brother-in-law got one for £12!

I replaced my standard GAMMA unit with an Alpine stereo that links to my iPod

got a gamma one off ebay last night 38 quid - looks like new in the pics with booklet and code etc
