currently got a 2001 polo 5 door which only has speakers in the drivers and passenger side doors, wondering if anyone has undertaken the task of installing two more in the rear doors and how hard it is to be done?
Getting Alpine type R's in the front soon and thinking about putting the standard ones in the back doors until ive got some more money for another set of Aplines..
Any input would be greatly appreciated..

I have a 3 doord and nah i havnt done it yet, but my mate has a 3 doors golf and done it, aint that hard...
Erm as for 5doors,nah i cant see why the seat would need to come out, the only reason they would on the 3dr is for the rear door card,to cut the circle.

Yeh to get speakers in the back, either buy differnt doorcards, or just cut into your existing ones.
To get the rear doorcards off a 6N2, you just have to remove the two bolts under the grab handle cover, and the last remaining bolt under the window winder cover, then gently pull around the edges til all the clips pop off.

Where should the rear speakers be wired up to?

Depends, are you running the standard headunit? Or an aftermarket one?

Yep that does, there's simply two terminals already available in the wiring kit you got with the headunit, just run speaker wire from the speakers all the way to them.
I haven't got time to find a picture of the where to connect them right now, I'll PM you it tomorrow though if you remind me!

On the 6N2, you remove the rubber trim around the edges of the doors and remove the plastic card on the B pillar and doorcard. And it's just a case of feeding the wire through the exposed hole.
