please guys dont be harsh if this is a stupid idea i am just a poor sixteen year old who is jobless and timeless

I was thinking, seeing as though my (standard)wheels on my polo are pretty rubbish, would it be worth getting them powdercoated black with a polished lip just to save a couple of hundred quid,my car is white and i just thought it could be quite an effective contrast
Has it been done before?
How much are we talking about?
Is this a rubbish idea?
or is it just easier to by some new ones?

Cheers once again guys! :)

I'd say do it, i'm 16 (17 on 5th of may) and i've done loads of stuff to my polo. Only thing i'd say is, is it worth having them done with the risk of curbing them when learning?

Its worth doing and you could even kerb the rims after you've passed your test so i'd go ahead with it. Everyones going for the look you mentioned so try something different. Maybe, black or polished lip with white centres

Getting them powdercoated with a polished lip will cost your hundreds, so that would be pointless. So DIY it!

Primer first, followed by the colour you want, then laquer.

I'd do some research on applying the coats and what combinations of wet and dry paper are good to use in between coats also
