swap between LOL, believe me i got a stainless cone and wen i put the air box back on it felt well restricted bottom end! Sounds crap too no induction roar or whistle! Got a breather of my brother in law, cos he got a induction kit for his golf but he doesnt have a air pump. Cos his is 2000 year so gave it me from the kit

ill post pics soon . made a nice bracket for the air filter too so i could remove the bottom of the air box too looks good!

unless its forced induction, i would imagine your going to lose out on power and grunt when the car warms up as the open filter will suffer heat soak unlike a closed airboxwith improved intake and cotton pannel filter
ps, where did you get your car rolling roaded? or is that just a guess-timate?

its wat the guy got on his wen he remapped it he came in a polo gti a red one and its the same prog , havent rolling roaded it yet waiting for a club day for cheaper go LOL. Well yes i know wat you are saying bout filters but it defo feels better with cone on, and thats the important thing on the road! Not too important cool-cool air on a turbo cos thats wat ya intercooler for! Non turbo yes its essential ! Just think how hot ya turbo gets , and wen your cold air feed hits it , its red hot now!

my original metal intake has now been removed and replaced with the silicone forge motorsport TIP, so wont hold heat much compared to the old item, but i know what you mean
as for induction, i just kept mine standard like but replaced the intake and filter as it looks a good setup, as it takes air from outside of the engine bay to get colder air direct to the blower, meaning less work for the standard intercooler to do ... every little helps and all that

ii suppose its personal preference , i am looking to make a pipe so that my cone filter is behined the bumper , like the golf one ! but its difficult to find room LOL !

U know the J valve wat does it get rid of ? eg before and after fitting?

N75 valve - boost controller.
n75J valve it just gives a more aggresive boost. There is a thread from not long ago about this, do a search and u'll find it

it is believed to increase boost pressure by up to 3 psi over the standayd n75 which it replaces
with it fitted, iv felt more instant response and there is no on off on off boost feeling from the turbo now
