Hey guys had a polo 6n for about a year now and only after reading all the forums on this have decided i really want to change how it looks, took off the trim and really want to lower the car, i have pretty skanked up 13" alloys on atm and as i'm pretty skint i was thinking of spraying the alloys black (my polo's white) and lowering it, but have no clue how much to lower it or how much it costs, is it better to just buy bigger alloys, its cz the massive gap between arch an tyre annoys me sooo much!!
thanks :)

lol if your skint then i'd advise to get it lowered first. If you get 15" rims and can't afford lowerage then you'd be driving around in a monster-truck for months!

how much you lower it depends on your circumstances such as your area roads, speed bumps, many passengers etc. Lower the car as long as its still practical enough for you. If your only thinking of 40mm then its no point once on 15's cos the car looks like its on standard height.

^^ actually it will looke lowered on 15s, but only by like 10-20mm. mine's on 15s, lowered by 40mm and i parked next 2 a polo, standard on 13" tinnies and mine is lower.

Greenwell you should go down 80mm then just not have any friends to take with you!

40mm drop on 15's is lower then a standard polo on 13's but look around and you'll find other cars are the similar height!

I think you should deck it no less then 80mm too and suffer speed bumps etc Mines about that and it receives much abuse even with a full load of adults in the back!
