Hey all, please can you give me some advice and help as i am totally clueless about this part of the car!!

I've got a new shape polo mk7 sport, and I've got some 6x9 pioneer speakers in boxes i would like to fit!! basically i was told that i would new an amp to get the 6x9's fitted without dissconecting the back speakers!!

can someone please help, as i dont know what amp, specs i need at least, channels etc, i have no clue!!

if i wanted to buy a sub etc, what should i look for??

Yeh if you want to keep all of your OEM speakers, the best way of adding more speakers would be to get a seperate amp for them.

What exactly du want from the sound system?

If your looking to purchase a subwoofer, I wouldn't get 6X9s, there will be too much bass frequency and the overall tone will sound very muddy compared to a correctly setup and equipped system.

Ive got 6x9's pioneer from my old car, and as i had them, i just thought i would add them to the system to make the sound better? and as i already had them thought this would be quite cheap?

any help or suggestions, if i wanted to just run the 6x9 boxes, what amp would i need to get?

if i wanted a sub, would it be better to just fit a sub and amp to the original system? any help is greatly appriecaited??

i dont want major ice, just something to maybe add some bass, but keep quality?? HELP?

Well if it's more bass you want, then I'd suggest getting a sub and amp combo.

If you don't know anything about ICE, the best thing to do is to buy a sub/amp/box combo off caraudiodirect.com, or caraudiocentre.co.uk,

And then research on how exactly to fit it, or take it to a specialist!

Adding 6X9s to your system as it sounds, would be a waste of money and effort IMO. It's not about how many speakers you can put it in your car, it's about the quality of the ones you have, and the frequency ranges they produce.

An ideal setup would need to cover all frequencies from low to high, which is why it's so good to simply have decent components covering your high and mid frequencies in the front, and a decent sub covering your low frequencies in the back.

Your current sound system in your car is alright as probably made up of 4 coxials, or maybe 2 coxials and 2 components (types of speakers), I'm not sure. But what ever it is it will cover the mid well and probably be arite for treble too, a sub will add bass and complete it nicely.

all 6X9s will do is add to the mid further (which will cloud your current speakers), and maybe add a little bit more bass.

ideally i would probably prefer a 10' sub as this would take up less space again, which is a gud idea!!

The second package is better, but doesn't include a wiring kit. Yeh 10"ers are quite sweet.

I don't know much about the standard headunits sorry, I have a different mark to yours, plus my OEM unit was out before I drove the car,

They're maybe a way to hook up an amp and sub though, but I don't know

the sony one is the better out of them all, the Kenwood one doesn't look too bad though.

Yeh you can get stuff on eBay, just look out for dodgy second hand stuff

dont think you can run a sub and amp from the rcd 200??
from my experiences you cant,i had to change my headunit to fit my sub and amp?thats just my experience anyway,maybe there is a way around it im not sure?
