ok so im wanting to lower the polo not really after coilovers becuase of the money which i dont have right now.
so after a decent set of lowering springs..
looking to drop it about 40mm? maybe a little more..
i drive alot of lanes and rough roads also becuase of college i have speed bumps to deal with so slamming in mm off the ground just isnt an option

just wondering if someone could link me or point me in the right direction of somewhere to get some springs?

also how much am i looking at for getting the tracking one after its been dropped..?

i was looking at lowering, now i cant be bothered as I'm saving up for a golf gti, but i was looking at the Phil Jackson Tuning kit's available on Clubpolo.co.uk http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.p ... owforum=61 there is a kit available for the 6n2 to drop -60 mm on new springs and shocks. the kit costs just £140 delivered http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.p ... opic=35527
As for fitting, i've researched the subject a bit, and a company such as awesome gti want £167.50 for fitting and the geometry.

alignment on it's own would usually cost about £45, but depends if you want 4 wheel laser alignment or not, but thats a base price anyway.

so bascially im looking at £140 for the springs and shocks and thn about £45 for tracking?
i should be able to fit them at home with a little help from the old man.

Ok, normally cba writing back to these threads as they come up all the time lol. Dont get the 60mm lower springs and shocks. Bought them as my first kit and bust my left shock less than a year later. Now have coilovers and have regretted not getting them sooner. Far far stiffer and you can have it as high or low as you want.
60mm kit = £140
Coilovers = 200

As for lanes, I live in the country with potholes etc and s**t loads of ramps nearby(villages) and the coilovers are dead on for all aspects as long as you go slow.

Fitting - Do it yourself, im not a confident person around the car at the most of times but once seeing the coilovers fitted I was kicking myself that I didnt give them a go myself.

Those kits on clubpoo aren't all that really. You get what you pay for with them. I'd recommend Eibach or H&R lowering springs, yes they're more expensive, but the ride quality will be much better.

I fitted a spring and shock kit with some help from my Dad. I eventually got there, but I wouldn't want to do it again in a while!

H&R springs are superior. Ive had them on mine for a while now and im very impressed!

all true of course, but i don't think they can be beaten for the price.

I'm looking at either weitec or eibach coilovers personally. But again, FK, H&R all very good as well i hear.

so how easy is it just to change a set of springs?
